Dr. Sam Thomas

I’m Dr. Sam Thomas, a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I completed my MBBS and Diplomate of National Board, which is equivalent to an MD, from Kerala University in India. Over the years, I’ve earned additional qualifications, including FRCOG and FRCS from Edinburgh, and FRCPI along with a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training from Ireland. I’m a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Royal College of Physicians Ireland, Maastricht University in the Netherlands, and University College Dublin in Ireland.

My specialization is in urogynaecology and aesthetic gynaecology. I’ve had the privilege of working as a consultant in Ireland for 25 years, serving as a professor and chairperson at Maastricht University in the Netherlands, and working as a visiting urogynaecologist and aesthetic gynaecologist in Doha, Qatar. I’ve successfully treated conditions such as urinary incontinence and pelvic organ or uterine prolapse using techniques like sacrocolpopexy and sacrohysteropexy. I’m skilled in performing various types of labiaplasty, including Trim, Wedge, and Redo, as well as perineoplasty and vaginoplasty to correct vaginal and anal deformities. I use minimally invasive procedures like the TVT-O (Tension Free Vaginal Tape Obturator) and Bulkamid injections for treating urinary stress incontinence. I also have a special interest in cosmetic and aesthetic gynaecology.
