Breast Reduction

Women who undergo breast reduction surgery are some of the happiest patients who have had plastic surgery. If you are suffering the discomfort of excessive breast tissue causing back, neck or shoulder pain, your insurance may even cover the cost of the procedure. We can dramatically reshape excessively large breasts into a smaller, more attractive shape. Most breast reductions are performed alone, but some patients can benefit from additional body contouring procedures such as abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) or liposuction.

  • Decrease or elimination of back, neck and/or shoulder pain caused by excessively large breasts
  • Increased comfort during many athletic activities
  • Better body consciousness with more clothing options
  • Improved quality of life and self-esteem

Most patients are able to go home a few hours after the surgery is complete. You will be given detailed instructions as to what type of bra to wear, pain medications to take, and how to care for any drains (if they are placed). We recommend taking it easy for a few days after the surgery, avoiding driving for a week. Work can normally be resumed after one week.
