Breast Lift

OVERVIEW

Drooping or sagging breasts are a legacy of motherhood, nursing, ageing and gravitational forces. Pregnancy and breastfeeding causes the fibrous bands in the breasts to break down, the skin then stretches, and unsupported breasts settle into the stretched skin.

It is not possible to recreate the natural supporting structure of the breast, but breast lifting helps by removing the redundant skin and repositioning the nipple-areola complex into an ideal position.

This procedure elevates and reshapes breasts, giving a more youthful appearance. A Breast Lift is sometimes performed in conjunction with Breast Augmentation.

WHO SHOULD CONSIDER THIS TREATMENT?

If you have lost a lot of weight, breastfed or have reached menopause, the skin loses its elasticity and the breasts hang down within the skin envelope. In this scenario, a breast lift is worth considering.
