Lip Surgery

OVERVIEW

Lips not only shape your smile, they also have a big effect on your overall appearance. Full and plump lips are seen as a sign of youth and beauty. If you’re not entirely happy with the size and shape of your lips, our qualified doctors can perform different Lip Reshaping procedures to improve the appearance of your lips while reducing the fine wrinkles around the mouth.

This cosmetic procedure can be surgical or non-surgical depending on your expectations and our doctor’s professional advice. We offer different procedures such as Injectable Fillers, Fat Transfer, Synthetic Implants or Surgical Lift, but it’s our surgeon’s job to guide you and help you choose the method that suits you best.

WHO SHOULD CONSIDER THIS TREATMENT?

If you are looking for a cosmetic procedure to create fuller, plumper, more shapely lips, we have the solution and the specialists. Our surgeons can discuss with you all the options and help you select the best treatment for your needs.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

There are many options for reshaping your lips and they include:

Injectable Fillers : This is a non-surgical option. Filler material is injected using tiny needles. It is the least invasive and lasts from three to six months.

Fat transfer / Injections : This method is more permanent than fillers, but the procedure is slightly more complicated. The fat has to be taken from another part of your body using liposuction and is then injected in your lips.

Synthetic implants : This procedure is permanent. Implants are soft but can be “felt” in the lips. They are inserted through tiny incisions inside the corner of the mouth. Different implant materials are available.

Surgical lift or advancement : This is typically used where someone has very thin lips or a long distance between the nose and the upper lip. To project and lift the lips, a strip of skin is removed from below the base of the nose or from along the border of the lip. Although results are permanent, you’ll have fine scars at the incision sites.

WHAT ARE THE RISKS

Overall, lip enhancement is a safe procedure and complications are uncommon. However, there are risks involved and it is important for you to understand them. Our doctors will explain you the different risk associated with each procedure. The risks can include bruising, swelling, lumpiness, under or over correction and skin discolouration. Infection and skin loss are possible but extremely rare.
