Dual Fraxel

Fraxel Laser is a unique approach to repairing and restoring the condition of the skin. It improves the appearance by affecting only a portion of the skin at a time, using thousands of tiny microscopic laser spots that penetrates deep into the skin and eliminate old epidermal pigmented cells.

This “fractional” treatment allows the skin to heal much faster using the body’s natural healing processes. The result is healthy, tighter tissue and the removal of skin imperfections.

The new Fraxel Dual includes two options – you can choose a deeper procedure for scars and wrinkles or a superficial one to reduce pigmentation and fine lines.

Fraxel Dual treatment can be a good choice if you want a softer, tighter and fresher skin. It reduces the fine lines around the eyes and the brown spots caused by ageing or sun exposure.

Fraxel Dual, can treat multiple skin conditions, including:

  • Hyperpigmentation: Melasma, freckles and age spots
  • Wrinkles and irregularities in the texture of your skin such as enlarged pores
  • Acne and surgical scars
  • Stretch-marks

Before treatment, our doctors will discuss which areas of your skin are appropriate for treatment, what kind of result you can expect, what to look for after treatment and how often treatments will be scheduled.

After the treatment, your skin will go through a healing process that involves:

Redness and swelling: This will vary depending upon your skin and the treatment. Swelling generally resolves in 2 to 3 days. Your skin will have a pinkish tone for five to seven days, which is a normal sign that the skin is healing deeply.

Bronzing: Your skin will have the bronze appearance with lots of tiny brown dots for 2 to 4 days, depending on the treatment level.

Flaking: Your skin will naturally and vigorously exfoliate as the reorganised skin replaces dead tissue. This stage will take 2 to 4 days. Use of a moisturiser will mask the appearance of flaking.

Sunscreen: Use sunscreen SPF 30+ at least twice daily to protect your skin from sun exposure during the healing phase and for several months after treatment. For added protection from sunlight, use wide-brimmed hats.
