Uneven skin tone and Melasma (dark skin patches) are a common consequence of sun exposure, aging, pregnancy, acne and the application of certain cosmetics and perfumes, which stimulate the excessive production of melanin.
Amelan Peeling is highly effective means of treating dark patches. It is recommended for all skin types and can be used at any time of the year. The treatment is very safe and has an efficacy of 95% in over 99% of melasmas.
Its main action is to eliminate melanic marks from the face (melasma and chloasma). Melanin is produced in the melanocyte, a neural-crest derived structure from the melanoblast precursor that is different from melanocyte.

Development
The Amelan Treament is carried out on two levels:
At the consulting room
The treatment does not produce any type of pain or problem and comprises the following phases:
A) Cleansing of the skin
B) Application of the degreasing solution
C) Application of the mustard-coloured facemask (AMELAN R), which the patient goes home with.
At the patient’s home
Once at home the patient will remove the facemask with water - at the time indicated by the doctor - applying the Hydra-Vital Factor K cream on his face.
After the second day, he will begin to use AMELAN M, twice a day, morning and night. On dark skins or/and on dark or pronounced marks, the application of AMELAN M, during the first week, can be repeated 3 times a day, letting it act for at least 4 hours. During the second week, the application is twice a day and after the third week that treatment will be continued with one daily application.
Every morning, before leaving home, the patient will apply Moisturising Sunscreen and willl use the Hydra-Vital Factor K cream in the case of dry skins, and tonic in the case of greasy skins.
RESULTS
The skin begins to improve one week after starting the treatment. Depending on the type of skin. The depigmentation process may speed up.
In dark skins the mark may disappear after 8-10 days, carrying out the treatment at home, with three daily applications of AMELAN M.
On fair skin the disappearance of the mark is observed between 8 and 21 days.
Degree of disappearance of the mark
In 90% of the cases, the disappearance of the mark improves by 80% or more. It is advisable to warn the patient about the possibility that, although the mark practically disappears, he/she may at times”notice where it was, a slight shadow may even remain which, nobody is going to notice.
If the maintenance treatment with AMELAN M in interrupted, the mark will reappear, as the treatment does not eliminate the tendency. It only interrupts the formation of melanin.
